Navigating your way through day to day living is far more satisfying if you have a strong support network and mentor or coach who can provide you with guidance, feedback and wellbeing strategies to live a better, flourishing, happier and healthier life. My solution focused positive psychology coaching applies the Science of Wellbeing’s research-based interventions to empower you to independently create greater life satisfaction. I focus on helping you to:

My approach

Together we will compassionately look at your current life situation in order to ascertain ways in which we can add positive value to your life. My aim is to lead you to a place of inner sustainable happiness and an optimistic mindset using scientifically backed tools and exercises. Your sessions may consist of questions, discussions, interactive exercises, meditations and writing exercises to leave you feeling uplifted and easily able to incorporate wellbeing practices into your every day life. In between each session, you will be invited to introduce new activities, readings, and meditations to eventually build on and create a new, positive, mindful and grateful way of thinking. It is my aim to empower you to immediately start applying scientifically backed practices designed to help you increase your life satisfaction and to start to know and appreciate yourself more.

My focus

My focus will be to support you and educate you on ways in which to boost heartfelt positive emotions and move you into an upward spiral of flourishing because according to research lower ratios of 2:1 can be an indicator of depression. Overall my focus will be to help you understand that it is ok and necessary to experience certain negative emotions and why it is important to incorporate the 5 core elements of psychological wellbeing into your life - one of which is positive emotions.

WELLBEING COACHING

My coaching sessions are designed to help you achieve a happier, more resilient and flourishing life. My coaching sessions are:

  • 60 minutes
  • Sold in blocks of 3 or 6 sessions

I recommend weekly sessions in order to fully benefit from coaching, however, I will aim to work around your commitments to help you on your wellbeing journey.

 

LIFE SATISFACTION - PERMAnently address life’s balance

Life satisfaction is no less important than job satisfaction yet we often take the time to work on the latter and not the former. This is a:

  • 2 hour one-to-one interactive, stimulating and fun session which provides you with an ariel view of your current life

From this view you will see what your life balance looks like from a different perspective which can be helpful in identifying areas that may benefit from positive change incorporating any of the 5 elements of wellbeing in Positive Psychology’s PERMA model of positive emotions, engagement, relationships, meaning and accomplishment. This session applies an educational coaching element to your personal life situation to help you understand and build a happier, balanced and flourishing life.

 

SELF-APPRECIATION - nurture your strengths

It is so easy to forget ‘who we are’ and step into other people’s beliefs of ‘who we are’ or ‘what we should be’. It’s also common to focus on our weaknesses in a detrimental way which can often create a lack of confidence in our lives. When we attach a negative label to ourselves, this can lead to unhappiness, lack of motivation, failure to achieve our goals, unhappy relationships and overall life dissatisfaction. This programme is a:

  • 2 hour one-to-one self-appreciation session designed to help you discover ‘who you are’

You will uncover your true strengths, discover how you are using them, uncover the positive aspects of yourself and learn how to refocus and reframe your beliefs to uncover a happier, confident you. This is an intensive, fun, interactive session where you will be working with various tools and exercises to boost your confidence and leave you more energised and engaged with your life.

 

REIKI PROGRAMMES - heal and restore

I have carefully designed the following Reiki programmes to perfectly blend the powers of Reiki healing with scientific evidence-based practices of positive psychology and mindfulness to create the ultimate recipe for healing and boosting wellbeing:

HAPPY HOUR - happiness top-up in one hour

This session is designed to be just that - a happy hour. If you are having a bad day, a challenging moment or in need of a happiness boost then this session is designed to help you find your happy. The sessions are either:

  • 60 minutes
  • 90 minutes - a 60 minute happy hour boost with a 30 minute cortisol-reducing Reiki healing session

Your happy hour sessions will be tailor made to your individual needs and will offer you the boost you need to continue on with your day in a more positive mindset. My aim of this one hour session is to provide you with a safe space to park your negative emotions and rev up your positive emotions through simple, fun, interactive positive psychology practices. Research has shown that positive emotions open the mind leaving you feeling happier, more creative and able to focus on the bigger picture. Sometimes all you need is to be heard, have a chat, have a laugh and feel better. This session is a kick your shoes off, bring a coffee and leave wearing your Opt 2 Be Happy smile!

 

FOURISH & NOURISH (FAN) - spoil yourself and ‘FAN’ yourself with happy!

This is an educational coaching programme designed specifically for you to pave out a pathway from where you are now to where you want to be. It combines positive psychology’s 5 elements of wellbeing, self-appreciation of your strengths and my coaching skills to help you FAN happiness into your life! You will understand:

  • How to boost positive emotions
  • The importance of high quality relationships
  • What your strengths are and how to positively engage them
  • Create meaning and purpose in your life
  • How to accomplish a happier life

This programme is made up of:

  • 6 x 60 minute weekly sessions
  • 6 x 90 minute weekly sessions to include 30 minutes of restorative Reiki

There will be fun exercises for you to complete between sessions as we work together to boost positive emotions and wellbeing in your life over the course of the programme. The aim of this programme is to provide you with some of the tools and skills necessary for nurturing, flourishing and building a resilient and happier life for you and others.

I recommend weekly sessions but will be guided by your needs when scheduling sessions.
